I think this was a beautiful story, both in imagery and relationships.

I'm trying to think of what I would have offered the dragon. I'm guessing it wouldn't accept actual garbage, you'd have to offer something somewhat valuable or meaningful. Desires sounded like a good idea at first but we saw many of the unexpected consequences. I'm kind of stumped.
