At least I'm 99% sure it was an EA story.
It features a young girl who was raped on her way to visit a witch (who enjoyed an extremely extended life-span.) At the end of the story the girl is given a bracelet and a sword handle that were in fact alien(or advanced human) artifacts. The bracelet s part of a life-support system and the sword handle part of a weapon system.
The story featured a local sheriff who had a flying car/helicopter/hovercraft/wwhatever and a war between angels/sky-men and an unnamed other alien race.
Thanks in advance for any help. I've gone through all the story titles and none of them scream out as being the one to this story.

Doesn't sound familiar to me, but I haven't heard EP1-98 or PP1-48.

The story is Alistar Reynold's The Sledge Maker's Daughter.
It was a StarShip Sofa podcast that I was looking for. Given I'm only 10-15 episides behind on the EA podcats, but over 100 behind on SSS alone I assumed it was EA. I was wrong.
