This is the last group of the first round. That's all the films we're covering folks... sorry if I left out any good ones amid the turkeys I felt compelled to include. The finals will have two groups, each with four films. Those start as soon as this poll ends. A week later the best from each final group go head-to-head in the final.

If anyone votes for the Twitlight movie, I will somehow find a way to slap them in the face with a trout.

See now that sounds like a challenge or a dare, but I can't bring myself to vote for it regardless.
I thought Limitless was a pretty good flick, definately more enjoyaable than I was expecting. I think the unique cinemetography helped a lot to make it stand out.
I also liked Cap'.

Cap made me happy :)

I haven't seen any of these, and haven't even heard of half of 'em.
Guess I didn't see many movies last year. Heh.

I haven't seen any of them in any of the categories. I mean, I know I don't watch MANY movies, but seriously, I missed every genre film of the last year? Wow. OTOH, looking at the list, nothing's screaming at me GO download RENT ME NOW, so maybe it's all good.

No Harry Potter? Heh. At the very least see 'Super 8.' It's wonderful.

Well, the first half anyway ;)

Pfft, I loved it all. Admittedly I'm rather easy to please. :P

I really enjoyed Super 8. It was one of my favorite movies I saw this year. (Um, out of five or six?)
I'm not sure it's an Anna movie though ;)

I will see the last two HPs eventually, because in for a penny in for a pound, and my kid loves the franchise. But I'm not in a rush.
And Dave's right, my thirty second glance at the IMDB page for Super 8 elicited no interest whatsoever in me.
It's ok, I don't really need recommendations. I have a pretty good filter. My husband will watch anything, and he pretty unerringly points me to the ones I'll like. IIRC the only thing he made a case for this year was the King's Speech and I was all "Really? I need to see a movie about wealthy white male nobility and their touching triumphs over adversity? I don't think so." So it's probably a good movie I would have liked...but yeah, not really interested.
-
To each their own I guess. :)
I must say though that 'King's Speech' was one of the best movies I've ever seen. Easily in my top 5, maybe even top three. Yeah, the original subject didn't interest me all that much myself, which is why I didn't see it until well after it came out, but it truly surprised me. I think I need to watch it again sometime soon. It's been a long time since a movie so affected me.

Well, at least we agree there :D Not in my Top 5 but certainly a Damn Fine Movie all 'round. Certainly one of my top 5 in the last 2 years.
(I try to annoy people by talking about "The King's Peach".)
