(medical note -Bleeding nose, not too bad. Bleeding ears, bad. Bleeding eyes, very bad indeed!)

….ENJOY?

I am king under this mountain...robble robble. Some great stuff here and great mix. I can only imagine the challenge of clipping different parts of 100 different files with 100 different equalizations/background noises/mixes and making it sounds good. My one criticism is you missed a fantastic opportunity to include "Lisa Lisa Lisa" as the clip for Regis St George.

duly noted at the time you suggested it - but it was already done by then...

Before I actually listened to this I was expecting something akin to Skinny Puppy lyrics, but actually the excerpts were well chosen to give you one coherent, intriguing image / moment from each story.  I thought this was fun listening.  Thanks Shawn!

I was leaning towards Bowie's "The Hearts Filthy Lesson" as that's a more lyrical mechanical reassembly of parts than Skinny Puppy. There are some of the same players in both places, so we're only debating slightly different shades of green.

Even though I've only listened to most stories only once, years ago when I discovered the pod (this was my first) it is a little bit uncanny how I can recall which story many of these lines come from.

It also reminds me that perhaps it is time to go back and revisit these early stories!

You guys have done a wonderful job.

I just wanted to say what a fantastic job that was done in putting these montages together.  And I must say, it must have taken quite a long time to do so.  When I put the EP storytime montage together, it took quite a bit, but I didn't have to listen to each story and pull out the most representative bit of text.  Truly an accomplishment to admire and enjoy.  Thank you for taking the time to present this to us!  (I am guessing it was Shawn who compiled it.)

As an infrequent listener to the podcast, it was just wonderful to hear all of these snippets tied together.  It truly shows the quality and diversity that this podcast has accumulated over the years.  Great fun to listen to.  Many of the scenes I had never heard before, yet there were also many that I had, and I enjoyed them all.

I was surprized to hear my own voice in there.  I had almost forgoten about the flash story that I had voiced.  What an honor!  Makes me want to do it again.

Congratulations, Pseudopod!  8)

I meant to say that I suspect it was Graeme who put these together.

I think Shawn cut and Graeme stitched, making Shawn the Igor to Graeme's Dr. Frankenstein?

Actually, it was all just little old me and Audacity - although Graeme soldered on the intros.

And, just to be honest - yes, it took a looong time (I started back in February or March or so) but, sadly, I could not afford the time to re-listen to every episode and pick the best line/lines - that would have to have been started a few years ago.

But thanks for all the kind words.  Was a labor of love - I really enjoy media collage/cut-ups and used to do horror based ones for my college radio station during Halloween.

Awesome! A really fantastic job on all 3! I wondered how much time and dedication it must have taken to put something so awesome together.
Really cool stuff, bravo sir

Awesome!  Haven't listened to the third one yet (am listening to podcasts more slowly due to technical difficulties), but have enjoyed the first two.  It's fun to see which lines tickle my memory of a particular story.  And, selfishly, it was fun to hear the lines that I wrote.  :)

Love the trip down (repressed) memory lane.

It was great to hear some of the old narrators. I'd love to see you guys get Scott Sigler and Phil Rossi back for more reads.

With quality more like the first 200...you know, actual horror instead of what we seem to be getting into lately, something more along the lines of suspense/mystery/chiller.

Pseudopod has and will always be about exploring all facets of horror, be that "suspense/mystery/chiller" or whatever your definition of "actual horror" might be.  Pseudopod has always eschewed stringent definitions of genre.

Might I ask what you consider to be "actual horror"?
