JC's 7th Son is finished til July
Mur's Heaven season 2 is done
Mark Yashimoto Nemkoff's (I am sure I just slaughtered his name) Number one with a bullet is done
All in the same week too! :(
Sigler is saying only 3 more episodes of The Rookie left
Just finished Brave Men Run
I am reading Billibub Baddings, which I can't recommend enough. If you like fantasy and crime Noir it will be right up your alley. also currently reading Morevi, One among the sleepless, A long way from Disney,
Any suggestions. Horror, sci-fi, Fantasy, crime noir. Hell anything that isn't about the crappy reality shows on TV (and don't forget producers Great Cthulhu is coming for you unless you stop!)
I would prefer novel length to short story, but beggars can't be choosers.

Decoder Ring Theater (http://www.decoderringtheater.com) is doing the best pulp radio drama out there right now.

I would like to reccomend "Badge of Infamy" over at Podiobooks, I've just finished it and really enjoyed its Pulp SciFi feel.
I would also suggest listening to the classic "King Solomons Mines" also available at Podiobooks.
Have you tried either "Amerindian 2192" or "Sphereical Tomi"?

Matt Wallace's Failed Cities Monologue ended the same week as Hell and 7th Son: Deceit. If you haven't given that a listen yet, I'd recommend it.

I forgot to mention it is all, I guess it didn't hit as ending so much since, I listened to it through Variant Frequencies, not the podiobooks version that started after I had already discovered Variant Frequencies.

Thanks Steve. I am loving Decoder Ring Theater. Especially the Red Panda stories. Only canadians could choose an animal as unfrightening as a panda, for a character name meant to strike fear into the minds of evil doers. Anyone else who was thinking about checking it out but wasn't sure, I heartily recommend it.

Wow, haha, i was just reading through this topic for the first time, and when Steve suggested the Decoder Ring Theater, I automatically started debating whether or not to check it out, and ya answered my question before i could even really start debating it!
ive kind of hit a withdrawl phase too. ive finished brave men run, heaven pt 2 on Geek Fu, the first 7th Son book (gotta subscribe to the 2nd), I go through the EP and PP episodes in a day (relisten to a few throughout the week), no new AoMS episodes (relisten to some of those too!), the Seanachai is up and down whenever sir McLean gets around to writing, finished Ancestor a while ago (thanks for the PDF by the way Steve, twas fun listening to where the words were changed heh)...
i need more podiobooks... im a podcast junkie. I had a little thing going with Brave Men Run and 7th Son, where one would update one day and the other on the next day, etc. but i found it hard to listen to 2 books at once.
ANYWAYS, i'll check out the Decoder Ring Theater! (pretty roundabout way of saying it huh?)

Decoder Ring Theater (http://www.decoderringtheater.com) is doing the ONLY pulp radio drama out there right now.
Don't get me wrong... it's good stuff. I would like to see more radio dramas out there. Maybe someone can point out some?

Shadow Falls (http://shadowfalls.podshow.com/) was done as a dramatization. The current feed at that site is for Shadow Falls Badlands, which is a prequel and is being read as a novel. I think original is still available there too though. Not sure of other radio dramas. A quick google search brought up this Link (http://podfeed.net/tags/Radio%20Drama)

Children of the Gods (http://www.childrenofthegods.net/) is quite good, but the time between episodes is painful
Try out How to Succeed in Evil - very good and enough of a backlog to kept you busy for a little while

There's lots. Google on:
- Silent Universe
- Sonic Society
- Pendant Productions
- Darker Projects
- Requiem of the Outcast
- Dry Smoke and Whispers
- Big Finish (these guys do the official Doctor Who audio dramas)
- Atlanta Radio Theater Company
Those are off the top of my head; you can go to http://www.audiotheater.com (http://www.audiotheater.com) for a more complete list of resources. There's also an American Society for Science Fiction Audio (ASFSFA) that does an annual award, the Mark Time Award; I know little about it, but there's got to be some kind of critical mass to support that.

Thanks for the list! I'm getting into the Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman shows from Pedant Productions. Good stuff... although some of the voice talents could use a little more training. But I'm hooked already.

i LOVE How to Succeed in Evil!
i started on the Seanachai when Sir Eley mentioned it on an EP episode
the only downside to those podcasts is the inconsistency with updates. But i have other podcasts too so tis not too bad.

At the moment I'm really enjoying Billibub Baddings and the Case of the Singing Sword by Tee Morris. It's great fun. Basically a stereotypical fantasy dwarf falls through a mystical mortal into 1920s Chicago, and upon arriving he decides to become a Private Investigator! It's basically Phillip Marlow recast as a 4 ft 1 Dwarf complete with beard and axe!

NPR has started Selected Shorts (http://www.npr.org/rss/podcast/podcast_detail.php?siteId=9911210) as a podcast. This American Life (http://www.npr.org/rss/podcast/podcast_detail.php?siteId=6349076) is a weekly collection of mostly true stories on a given topic.
If you want some stuff that's funny, but not fiction; check out CarTalk (http://www.npr.org/rss/podcast/podcast_detail.php?siteId=9911203) and Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me (http://www.npr.org/rss/podcast/podcast_detail.php?siteId=5183214) also on NPR
