Looking for a story: involves data as a currency
« on: December 24, 2018, 10:40:45 PM »
I remember listening to a story many years ago that was largely a conversation between two people. It seems that one, the primary narrator, was human and was talking to a non-human that was traveling with him. The big salient point, though, was that the narrator explained a bit about how his culture's currency was basically data, that he was "in debt" to some degree, and then explained quite a bit about the problems of a growth-based economy.

I don't recall that it was a good story, but it was a good explanation that really made sense to me.

I have looked through the archives but nothing really jumped out to me. I can narrow the publication time frame down to some time between 2006 and 2013... but that's also something like 300 stories.

If this sounds familiar to any of you, I'd love to know the title.

I'd like to know the answer, too. I have a file with descriptions of more than 40 EA podcasts with some connection to economics or business, but couldn't find anything that fits your question.
