I can't get my DBX to affect my signal at all. I have the mic (akg perception 200) runing into the interface (mobilePre) via XLR. I have a 1/4" jack frunning from the channel 1 out on the Interface to the side chain, CH.1 in and Ch.1 out (not at the same time of course. Long story short, I've tried every combination of outs and ins between the dbx and Mobile pre) The DBX is showing my signal, showing when my voice gets above the threshold and the gain reduction it's applying. I see the Gate/expander trying to act, etc.. But when I watch it in Audition, there's no change. I still can hear paper russeling and my hands moving things areound, althoughthe DBX is showing that it's cutting it out.

Do I need to use a XLR or something between the dbx and interface?do I need to plug the mic straight into the DBX and get a phantom power box? Do I have one too many or one two few chromosomes? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Nevermind. Apperently I need an extra phantom power supply for the DBX.
