The Blues Brothers came on strong, but couldn't get past the Fellowship.  I don't think it's actually the hobbit fans, I think the film's support secretly comes from pointy ear fetishists.  But either way, there is diverse competition this week.  A couple of vastly different musicals, a time traveling Delorean, and more pointy ears of the cape and cowl variety...

Bummer that Jake and Elwood were given an early exit by the voters.  I have succumbed to the power of the Precious this week.

This is an incredibly tough batch.  FotR is possibly my favorite fantasy movie.  Batman Begins is (at least) one of my two favorite comic book movies.  Back to the Future my favorite time travel comedy.  Moulin Rouge my favorite musical.  The Muppet Movie is my favorite, er, Muppet Movie.

Back in high school and through my twenties, when I wanted to have a rock band, "Can You Picture That" was going to be in the repertoire.  (These days, however, I want to form an all-J.A. Seazer cover band.)

But I voted for Back to the Future
Haven't seen Batman Begins or Moulin Rouge.

Hobbits, Batman, or Michael J Fox. I never finished Moulin Rouge and I can't recall ever seeing the Muppet Movie. Hmmmmmmm. FotR and Batman Begins were both really really good, but I think I'm going to have to go with classic on this one.

Can I specifically vote against Moulin Rouge?

Back to the Future gets my vote. It's on my list of top ten movies of all time.

Can I specifically vote against Moulin Rouge?

At this point, I don't think that's necessary  ;)

(Though part of me wonders if Alasdair will wonder in and give it a sympathy vote.)

I guess I'm just odd, but I just can't get into musicals (except for Mel Brooks films, and not even all of those).
Back to the Future was great, but it just didn't stick with me the way some of the other films in these polls have.  Of the choices we have in this round, I have to go with LOTR.

I'm both touched and...kind of alarmed.  Clearly my tendency to defend the unloved movies of the world now precedes me:)

I did kind of like Moulin Rouge.

(Ducks)

But not enough to vote for it.  Also, it should be pointed out that the film vastly, vastly improves when the Bohemians GO AWAY.

Oh this is a tough week for me.  See, I actually like pretty much everything on here, some a lot more than others.  In fact, I'm going to go back and check.

Backing a losing horse again.  It's all about Mr Wayne this time. Wonderful as Back to the Future and Fellowship are (And I'm prepared t admit I'm just being a contrary bastard now with Fellowship), Batman Begins was so...right.

Sorry 'bout the lonliness... I came down to a Bat/...to the Future toss-up, but landed with the one I quote more often.

Don't feel so bad.  When I ran this poll for my friends, the Muppets won.  But then again Moulin Rouge came in third (behind Fellowship) and Back to the Future was last.  And this week Shaun of the Dead seems to be winning... so my friends just have different taste, I guess.
