Princess Bride dominated last week. I can only imagine it will this week too, since none of the really heavy hitters got drawn. But there are some great films here. Like the new James Bond reboot, which I loved. A time travel comedy with Keanu Reeves in the one role he was truly born to play. And a different sort of time travel with Bill Murray in what's really the best Twilight Zone style SF to ever hit movie screens.  And a classic dark future with a twist ending that has already been spoiled for everyone on the planet if they've seen the movie or not...

No contest.  Princess Bride again.  Haven't seen Soylent Green (though I do know the twist at the end) nor either Casino Royale film (which one is meant here?).

... and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure?  What are you, nuts?

Um, Bill & Ted currently has the only non-Princess Bride vote.  And it's not from me... so apparently I'm not as "nuts" as some folks out there.

As stated in my ramble, I mean the 2006 Bond Reboot Casino Royale.  Though the parody one from the 60's was fun.  Any Bond movie with a Orson Wells and Woody Allen cameos can't be all bad.

B&T all the way man. It's like... Whoa. And then I was like Whoa and he when Whoa and Abe Lincoln showed up and Whoa.

I Twitter. I also occasionally blog on the Escape Pod blog, which if you're here you shouldn't have much trouble finding.

Princess Bride, easy.  Bill and Ted's was pretty great, though.  Groundhog's Day was clever, but nowhere near on the level of the other two (for me -- I know people love Bill Murray in it).

I haven't finished Casino Royale yet.  I liked what I saw, but I doubt I'd find it better than Princess Bride.  Soylent Green was a pretty good 70s SF movie and had a great closing line.

Blech, Casino Royal. Princess Bride will cruise this round easily.

Haven't seen Casino Royale, but I want, too, but I don't think I would rate it above PB, anyway. I haven't seen SG, either, but I know the twist, as well. I loved GD, but it was narrowly edged out by PB. And, yeah, I enjoyed Bill and Ted, too. Keanu Reeves finest work.

Groundhog's Day would get my vote this round, but Princess Bride pushed it off the Cliffs of Insanity.

It's a runaway / landslide.  And I've backed a winner again :)

Ditto. As far as I am concerned, Groundhog Day is stiff competition, but there are very, very few movies that would top Princess Bride.

This is the biggest bitch slapping delivered by any movie so far, isn't it?

Well, look what it's up against.  Hardly any contest at all, is it?

I can't believe Bill Murray is doing half as well as Bill & Ted...

Looking at this list in toto, I can't believe that three votes didn't go to The Princess Bride.

Next week should at least afford some competition.  But Princess Bride is hard to beat - I think it tops many people's favorite film list.  Where by "people" I of course mean "total dorks" such as ourselves.
