See the subject. Certain hot topics keep coming up; certain good questions keep getting asked; certain behaviors keep recurring, and need to be addressed. So, we need a FAQ. But I don't want to write it... none of the moderators has time (methinks)... and the editors certainly don't have time (keep them prowling the slushpiles looking for my the next brilliant story! So, I humbly suggested in some thread somewhere that we start a FAQ in a wiki. One of these might be good (though personally, I would prefer MediaWiki, I'm up for helping in whatever venue is chosen). With a wiki, we enthusiasts may cooperatively throw links to oft-repeated threads, references to frequently linked topics, and various and sundry other things that have been/ought to be "stickied" to the tops of these forums. http://www.wetpaint.com/http://www.wikidot.com/http://www.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Wikiahttp://www.openwiki.com/ow.asp?OpenWiki%2FSitesGoogle SitesFor those who don't know what a wiki is: http://www.youtube.com/v/-dnL00TdmLY&hl=en&fs=1

To quote the Michael Scott: Wikipedia is the best thing ever. Anyone in the world can write anything they want about any subject, so you know you are getting the best possible information.

I know you're tired of answering the same questions every couple of months: *"How do I get older eps that have dropped off the feed?" *"How do donations work?" *"I want to fight with Russell... is there a thread for that?" *"This isn't sci-fi/fantasty/horror... why is it here?" *"I'm new here... what do all the "extern", "hipparch", and other names mean?" And I know you know what a FAQ is... just, instead of having it locked down so that only you (and bDoomed, and Heradel, and Steve) are stuck managing it, put it in a wiki so the rest of us anal retentive slobs can add stuff as the need arises.

You spend way too much time here. The forums are small enough that I don't mind the questions that much, but when you get to organizational stuff, it's Steve's call. He runs the place. I just get to kick you guys in the shins when you get out of line.

Rule #27: No sobbing. Rule #42: All persons over a mile in height must leave the forums.
(it's the oldest rule in the FAQ.)

Rule #2: You don't talk about Fight Club. Well, not after it lost so badly in the film poll, we don't. Rule #6: There is no rule number six.

I don't remember electing the legislators that passed those laws, so I don't see that I have to be bound by them.
