So, yeah, I'm a geek and I watch Star Trek fanfilms. Wanna fight about it?  ;D

Watched Operation Beta Shield. It was basically a bridge between Odyssey/Helena and Federation One/Intrepid. There was a TON of humor -- the shuttlecraft scene and the Shelby/Hunter interplay was very good. Parts were a little overacted, and Jim Fox-Davis (just Jim Davis now, it seems) looked really lame as an Efrosian. It just felt like there was more to be done -- too many plot threads left dangling. I'm guessing they're trying to build the whole Archein story arc into something a la the TNG novel crossover series "Destiny", but the production schedule is too slow to support that.

The art is, as usual, excellent, and I would be glad to have any of the 3D model makers working on HF working on a new Star Trek series.

I give it 2.5 stars out of 5.
