I know there's a topic elsewhere... i dont care :P
Just watched the show on hulu.com (great site, check it out if you dont already know about it)
my GOD why'd they cancel this?!
my roommate hadnt seen it either but claimed it was a piece of crap from what he had heard.  he's become enamored with it

i love the indifferent disregard for life, especially in the first episode where the captain casually kills the alliance man holding river hostage, and again when he kicks the thug into the jet engine.
so good!

And the last episode was hilarious, so disappointing that they got rid of it!

I'd like to hear my options, so I could weigh them, what do you say?
Five pounds?  Six pounds? Seven pounds?

The cast and crew knew that it was their last episode when they filmed bringing home the body.

I'm not sure how long Firefly could have run, but it would have been at least 3 years.

I don't think Firefly was the greatest show ever, but I do really like it, and I'm sad that it didn't get a longer run.

I thought of it as a "fun" show.  Don't worry too much about the details, just suspend your disbelief and enjoy the ride.

you can't just charge into the zombies every time and expect it to work out, sometimes you need a little zombie foreplay.

maybe some mood lighting (eg, flickering florescents) and a nice meal would set the scene. try to set aside a full evening and make sure that the zombies understand they're there for you, not just your brains.

i regard everyone's indifference with indifferent disregard, and am so indifferent to it, that N-sh himself cannot fathom the indifference, he just gets too bored and indifferent before he can.

I am amoung the geeky few who did not catch this until it was too late. The little bit of time that the telivision is on at my house, it's usually on for one of my children or it's on for vidio games. Usually I catch up on prerecorded favorites, or watch stuff online. So- when Firefly came out It flew beneath my radar. I was sorely dissapointed I was so far away from the fact that I couldn't even properly morn the passing of the tihing. Truly awesome show, fun, witty, sexy, and just a-freaking-mazing.

actually im retty sure that puts you in the majority. If people had realized how great the show was BEFORE it was cancelled.. maybe it would have had more of a chance.

:(

I'll be checking out Dollhouse since it follows Terminator: TSCC this Friday.

I will also be giving Dollhouse a chance. Here's hoping a) It's good stuff and b) it gets to run long enough for us to see where Joss is taking it.

Isn't saying much, in my opinion.

Whedon's a very clever writer, good with interesting concepts and dialogue. I thought Firefly was an interesting curiosity, but I wasn't really a fan. That damned pseudo-cowbooy dialogue got on my nerves real fast. And as a born and bred Yankee, I found the Civil War parallels unsettling.
