I liked this one quite a bit, and really enjoyed hearing Norm again.  Apparently, he and I share the talent of making very good farm animal noises.  I identified with Paul in this one, as I had a similar relationship at the end of college, and had a similar moving out experience.  I too was given the warm fuzzies like Unblinking, given the similarities to ESotSM.   It was similar, but not a copy, and therefore, was well worth the listen.  I especially liked that both characters seemed so burdened with their thoughts and memories, and were able to start anew.  Good little goats.

Norm Sherman's reading is excellent, as always.

Is it because he keeps groats?

I wonder if Norm has silky, soft, white hair because his bleats certainly helped me forget the elements of the story that were bothering me. Seriously though, the reveal made up for the inordinate amount of time I spent wondering if there WAS a fantastic element or the folks at PC were losing their minds.
Interesting. But, not memorable.

Why can't it be both?

The goats ate the memory of their own story!  How meta!
