This is a great podcast of a Cory Doctorow story:
When Sysadmins Ruled the Earth

It's the first time I've found anything as good as escape pod.

I'm not familiar with "quirky nomads", but I think When Sysadmins Ruled the Earth is the first podcasted story I ever listened to when Cory Doctorow was podcasting his own stories (maybe he still is).  It was from his podcast that I discovered Escape Pod when EP produced Craphound.  If been hooked on EP ever since.

But yes, When Sysadmins Ruled the Earth is a great fun story!

Facehuggers don't have heads!

Come with me and Journey Into... another fun podcast

This version is done like a radio show with sound effects and multiple voices. Very much like Rogue Farm that Steve did recently. Only not live.

CD is still doing his own stuff. Right now he's doing "Someone Comes to Town" which I read a while back.

I too listened to "Sysadmins" when he did it. As good as I'm sure the radioplay is, I don't know if I want to listen to it again.

I have a friend who's a programmer at Google, so I got a kick out of the story :)

I just read the story in the "Wastelands" collection. Great story.  Can't wait to hear it now.
