Who is interested in buying one of the first run shirts? The price for a T shirt is probably going to be around $11 for 1, with discounts for multiple shirts. Shipping will be via US Mail, and should be reasonable.
Shirts will be numbered.
We will post artwork of the shirts before taking orders. Posting in this thread does not commit you to purchasing, and not posting doesn't exclude you.
There will be 1 shirt for each of the podcasts and 1 shirt for Escape Artists in general. Unless I get feedback to the contrary, the first run will be 50 shirts.

unfortunately as I mentioned I won't be buying until after Dec. 15th. Mail is too slow and unreliable here in China, so I think I will have to pass on the first run.

I'll probably be getting at least 2 of each shirt myself.

1 of each? I forgot to mention in the original post to state if you would be interested in more than one of any shirt. I'm thinking of getting the EA shirt as a Polo

A lot would depend on if Polo shirts were available, and what the largest size is. I don't wear t-shirts.

Polo shirts will jack the price up. I'm trying to find out how much now. If it's on a polo shirt, where do you want to see the artwork and tagline?

Pocketed polo (need some place to stash my ipod) if available and logo on pocket, if not where a pocket would be and pocket sized.

What kind of print is it? I guess my real question is, how many times can it be washed before it starts to look old. I have some silk-screens that, aside from some cracking, have held up for years. I've also gotten some that have been unreadable after ten washes.

Oh, good point. Most of my personalized polos are embroidered, not silk screened or similar. That would probably be cost prohibitive (though I'd still want one).

They are silk screened. We have some that have been washed a lot and they still hold up. Ben has received a sample shirt with a different design, so he can talk about the quality. A note: The first run of shirts are cheaper than future runs will be, since there was a donation push and this is tied in with a contest. It looks like all shirts will be sold at www.poddisc.com. The price for these shirts probably should have been $15. If you feel that you should have paid that much, feel free to make an extra donation to EA. The polos will probably have to wait, as I agree that embroidery would be the way to go. We also need some simple art work for each of the Podcasts. We have some artwork that will work for Escape Artists, but we need a piece for each 'cast. If your artwork is used, you'll get a free shirt. Artwork is also being sought for future shirts, and the artist might receive royalties on those shirts. I say might because Ben is still setting everything up. It looks like the initial run will be 50 shirts for each podcast.

I'm definitely interested in an Escape Pod t-shirt for my fiance, and probably a Pseudopod one as well for me--depends on sizing. I'm assuming these are standard men's sized t-shirts? I'd probably buy two instead of one the first go-round if there were women's sizes for t-shirts--I don't fit well into men's t-shirts--especially if said women's sizes went up to an XL or XXL. I know the first printing is intended to be a small one, though, and finding screen printing above a size "tiny" for women's t-shirts is difficult anyhow, so no hard feelings if there's no women's sizes for now.

I am definitely interested in an Escape Pod and Pseudopod shirt, and maybe even an Escape Artists shirt. I kind of tried my hand at artwork for a Pseudopod shirt, but it didn't turn out well...

Alright, we've got the basic layout: Artwork on the front of the shirt. Tag line, URL, and logo for each 'cast on the back. Escape Artists shirts will probably be put on hold for now, unless a revolt starts. Shirts will be sold through www.poddisc.com. We're working on getting a pre-order form up. (By "we" I mean Ben and Matt). There will be more input asked for before the shirts are done. We're trying to get 3 color schemes available for each shirt, but again, we're trying to keep costs down. I know that if we can offer more variety if we increase the prices, but again, we're trying to avoid that. A suggestion has been to use the color schemes from each of the .org sites. Feedback is welcome.

I'd love to buy 2 Pseudopod shirts and it'd be awesome if they're polos. But tees are fine too.
You'd post to Australia, right?

The Postage will be the most expensive part. Even normal mail is killer overseas and don't get me started about UPS or FedEx.

Yes, Poddisc's interface will almost certainly be able to calculate international postage from the US. Yes, the quality of the sample I've got is for all I can tell right on par with all my many other black shirts, and Jason says the screen printing survives 20 washes with no sign of wear, so that's a good sign.
But they don't have to be black. We're talking monochrome printing for the initial run here, so here's a simple question. What do you want to wear besides the website colors? Correct the following to your preferences (and I am not an artist -- 16 crayons' worth is about as many color names as I have ever memorized, so these are approximate):
Escape Pod - blue on light grey? Pseudopod - white on olive green? PodCastle - light brown on dark brown?
We'll post pictures when we settle on something and start taking preorders.

I think green on brown would be cool for Pseudopod.
