The group phase is over, except for a few tiebreaking measures.  This one and a second place runoff for items from group C and last week's group H.  For this poll, you only get to vote for one, but the top two will move on to the finals.

Last week 2001 won the group, but the race for second place was very very hard.  The Man in the High Castle and War of the Worlds tied with eight votes each, while Neuromancer and Slaughterhouse Five each came in with seven.  As mentioned, the two that are tied for second place will be in next week's runoff poll along with five from group C.  Two will move on, so it could be both of them from group H - and I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that way.

Interesting to see how things change from when it's "vote for many" to "vote for one"

Though it apparently doesn't drag up much new conversation.

Less needs to be said now, I guess. It was a fairly simple decision for me, but Androids is one of my favorite books and Card's political views really put me off him.

I Twitter. I also occasionally blog on the Escape Pod blog, which if you're here you shouldn't have much trouble finding.

I think L. Ron Hubbard is one of the most contemptible people who ever lived, but I'd still vote for Battlefield Earth over any of these three.

I voted for Androids anyway.

Wow... and here Battlefield Earth somehow managed to avoid getting into the poll whatsoever.

Really, I think these are three very good books, even if Card is a scum sucking homophobic racist nimrod.

edit: AWWW you can't tell! stupid s... i did a strikethrough but the shape of the s negates it... meh...
so just imagine the 's' in 'scum' being struck out...

I'd like to hear my options, so I could weigh them, what do you say?
Five pounds?  Six pounds? Seven pounds?

Also: interesting only 16 voted in this one. At least 5 shy of the last. Where were you?

Oh yeah. Oops! I always did have a problem with dates. It's Jan 2011 right, isn't it?
