Kinda skipped a week there, sorry about that.  Just quit my job, and things have been kind of crazy (but good).  Anyway, I could wait until Wed morning, but I figure now is as good a time as any.

So, the last poll had Flowers for Algernon get past Cat's Cradle by just one vote.  So Flowers goes up against Stranger in a Strange Land in the quarterfinals.

This week we have the second Heinlein in the final 16 - the only author represented twice.  This time with his Military SF novel which is almost but not entirely unlike the movie named after it.  And up against that, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - widely regarded as the funniest book in all of Science Fiction.  Which didn't stop Oolon Colluphid from calling it "a load of dingos kidneys".

Also, I hope your heart isn't (too!) broken from last week's poll. One vote!

This one does not seem to be so close.

Best of luck with changing jobs.

I Twitter. I also occasionally blog on the Escape Pod blog, which if you're here you shouldn't have much trouble finding.
