So we're down to just eight novels left in the poll, and starting the Quarterfinals!  In last week's final playoff round, 2001 started with a strong lead, that gradually shrunk as Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep gained support.  Finally, 2001 came out on top by just one vote!

This week is another choice that is very hard for me.  Both personally meaningful books for me.  Flowers I've talked about before, and Stranger if only because I'm polyamorous, and that novel helped to form the ethical non-monogamy movement.

Stranger may have had positive social influence, but it is an atrociously bad book. Flowers is a great book.

No contest.
