Anything for a Weird Life

Last week's elimination poll didn't work so well, if the goal was elimination.  Elric was voted off the fantasy island, and The Princess Bride won and will move to the quarterfinals.  But second place... now there's the problem.  A four way tie with Conan, Alice in Wonderland, Discworld, and Wizard of Earthsea.  All will go into a runoff poll in a month.

Meanwhile!  We have some heavy hitters this week.  Probably the three most popular and bestselling fantasy series in modern times, as well as the granddaddy of 'em all from ancient times.  Oh ya, and some bunnies and a gunfighter.  Those last two don't stand much of a chance, do they?

Man, Harry Potter might be popular, but I never got half so much enjoyment out of him as I did Frodo or the Pevensies.

What about fandom? Does that count? Because Draco/Whomping Willow = instant entertainment...
