I'm going to talk about the book.  I loved The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms. (Yes, it's supposed to be spelled out.)  I've read a lot of excellent books this year and this was one of the best.  I especially liked the fact that it was intimate rather than epic and that the story stood alone even though it's the first part of a trilogy.  I just downloaded the audio book of the sequel, The Broken Kingdoms.

Sandikal, did you read the first book or listen to the audio version? (Just curious, because I know you listen to a ton of audio books.)

I read the first one.  They had it at the library.
