Author Topic: All libsyn feeds no longer work in Icepodder  (Read 4866 times)

Hi Guys,
Long time fan of all your podcasts,
in the last couple of weeks Im getting an error on all podcasts on libsyn that renames the downloads to "'hw.libsyn.com'

Heres my log

Im running Ubuntu Hardy Linux with Icepodder V5.4

It does the same with Mysterious Universe, all other podcasts that arent from libsyn work fine, any ideas?

I assume you've already tried resubscribing, does it still happen if you subscribe to this specific feed?: http://escapepod.org/category/podcasts/feed/

If anyone else is having this issue with the same or another podcatcher, please let us know.

I Twitter. I also occasionally blog on the Escape Pod blog, which if you're here you shouldn't have much trouble finding.

Yes, changed to the above feed address -  same error:

Subscribed to four more podcasts on Podiobooks.com, they all generate the same error (all on Libsyn)
Strangely, I tested the same feeds on my Mac G4 with Juice (The older version of Icepodder) and they all work fine!

I've been meaning to burn a live cd and test this out for myself, but your experience and the error messages seem to indicate a mishandling of the RSS feed by Icepodder, but I'd need to test it myself to make sure it's not something odd about your ISP or something of that nature.

Yes, its Icepodder related, hpodder works fine with the Libsyn feeds. It seems Libsyn made some small change that Icepodder doesn't like, is it worth me posting some of the python files on here to see if any experts can spot why?
