Something that's been rattling around in my brain a lot recently:

Quote
They came last year,
subjugated our networks,
ruthless tyrant worms.

Control our implants,
timeshare our cerebellums,
our bodies no more.

Don't understand art,
We will exploit their weakness,
freedom in haiku!

or

Quote
Hark! Watch out for the
planetary brain lasers:
they must run linux.

...don't get me started on limericks :D

I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords.

Paul was given Dune
Tames sandworms, then universe
Who wants the headache?

Make a Foundation
To preserve the galaxy--
On second thought, two.

Princes of Amber
Fight for all reality...
You would leave home, too.

Alas, Leibowitz!
Pastrami, kraut, six bagels--
Bring home for Emma.

Uploaded minds work
Digging endless holes in space
A dull raptured life

I think limericks are easier.

I think limericks are easier.

A Limerick of Ice and Fire:

I thought that the hero was Ned;
But halfway through Book One he's dead.
Now...the bad guys are good?
Or they would if they could?
I can't keep it all in my head!

Wizard's First Limerick:

Richard's a good simple soul
Who knew how he wanted to roll
'Til Kahlan needed aid --
But he'll never get laid
'Cause her power would swallow him whole!

Wizard's First Limerick, Part Two:

That Zedd guy he knew in his youth
Was a wizard!  What shock!  He spoke sooth:
"This sword's name you'll regret,
but in case you forget,
the six-inch block letters spell TRUTH!"

Wizard's First Limerick, Part Three:

Richard thought he could outfox
The bad guy, who needs one more box.
But he was seized and drawn nether
By a chick clad in leather
With a fondness for whips, rods, and...evil.

Yes, I'm a helpless SoIaF fanboy, but this one is brilliant!

Here's one for Terry Pratchett's Mort (okay not sci-fi, but I just did it anyway :P) :

Death wanted some help
He hired some guy, whose name was Mort
Who mucked up the world.

I never was any good at Haikus... :)

Nice.

Thunder splits the sky
A saucer descends to earth
Warmly: "We're here to help."

How do you fight a bully that can un-make history?

ok, I'm sorry another non sci-fi one :) (one that popped up last night while I was lying in my bed)
But to make up for it I have a second one.

The land of the free
Should not give up their freedom
That's always a loss

Nothing lives on Mars
That's what they said to the men
But still they came

Luke killed Emperor.
But Lando popped Death Star, so
it didn't matter.

Try a haiku for
Battlestar Gallactica.
It's quite hard to write.

Or we could go back to limericks....

There once was a Cylon named Six
Who blew up humanity for kicks.
She was raised on an altar
But came back with Baltar
Because of her fondness for...babies.

Stargate SG-1
It had excellent writing
except the last one.

It was so so bad
with every sci-fi cliche
insulting the fans
