I had a similar reaction to Scattercat on this one. I was horrified by the story, but when told it was based on real events, it took on a deeper patina of horrificness.

I invent imaginary people and make them have conversations in my head. I also write.

Hello all! Just wanted to pop in and say thank you for the kind comments about my narration. It was an interesting story to read aloud, and due to the subject matter, actually rather difficult in places (I guessed it was about Mary Bell almost straight away, having read about the case previously) but very well written.

Keeping that detached, emotionless tone must have been extremely difficult, excellent job!  :-)

Alea Iacta Est!

This is a pretty creepy story as is. I loved the allussion to BDSM through a childs eyes and how much a child's rationalization can screw with reality. Then to find out it is based on a true story made my skin crawl. I have not yet reasearched it, but can't wait to.
