For me, the racing wasn't the issue. It was a good exploration on the meaning of restrictions and freedoms. I really liked that the narrator was a black man; with all the cultural heritage (and yes, baggage) that comes with it, it dwelt on the whole freedom issue from an athlete POV. Plus, having Delroy consider DOP with an afro was hilarious and sweet. Why can't one win a race with an Afro? Damn drag resistence...

I personally dislike the olympics -- it comes from having worked in the news business too long, and also they used to preempt shows I liked. But I suppose I can understand why that opinion isn't shared by many.
