Hey, everyone.

I've been a big fan of fantasy/scifi podcasts for the past  years, as I needed something to listen to on long distance hikes. I fell in love with the Escape Artists products, as well as Drabblecast, Wormwood, Solar Clipper, and many others. For years, I used to tell arhurian legends at RenFaire, and wrote some stories of my own. Last year, the good folks at Made of Fail asked me to start podcasting.

The result was The Burnham Society Podcasts.

The premise of the Burnham Society is that the weird and supernatural is just another immigrant culture that makes up the rich landscape of chicago. The main podcasts are john-hodgman style explanations of Chicago's magical history (now with 25% facts!), with some recent Escape-artist style story podcasts. We've been up since January, and 11 episodes in, we'd love to see what people outside our 50 subscribes think.

Our best examples right now are:

You Are Not The Chosen One

Molly and the Dragon

The Changing of the Seasons: Featuring Talafiara (Voiced by Brenda E Kelly)

We've got a facebook page (we're easy to find. Just type in Burnham Society on the search link), and we post messages and links every weekday.
If you like it, we're available on itunes as well.

My host, made of fail, has a ton of geek podcasts, and some great audiodramas. They're over at madeoffail.net

I hope you enjoy the show.

Rowan.

Great, I work with headphones and listen to over 5 hours of podcasts per day so I am constantly struggling to fill up the time, I will definitely be checking out your podcast tomorrow, don't have itunes on my work computer to load onto my ipod.   ;)
