After over 6 weeks of stories being posted and voted upon, the third official Escape Artists flash contest has now ended. Out of 92 submissions by 69 authors, a final 8 finalists (by 7 authors) were chosen, and of those, three stand victorious. I hereby present the winners:

In first place, Four Tickets, by Leslianne Wilder!
In second place, Life Sentence, by Ben Hallert!
In third place, The Future Is Set, by C. L. Perria!

Congratulations to you all!

Well, amazingly, I picked First, Second and Fourth (sorry Third!), all of which were among my highest scoring too. Seems I can't complain about having peculiar taste any more, eh! Congratulations everyone - winners, not-so-winners,  readers, and voters.
What? Mods? Yeah, ok then  ;D

Congratulations to everyone involved, whether you made it to the end or not--you put yourself out there for others to read (and judge (and oh, how we judged)).

This was the big voting that everyone was worried about this month, right?

Super huge thanks to eytanz for putting this all together and running everything so smoothly!  Also, thanks to everyone who read and commented on 'Life Sentence' and 'Order is for the Bees'.  I appreciate all the great feedback and can't wait until the next contest!

Congratulations to all the winners!  Each one was very worthy.

And great job moderators! Very smooth job throughout the whole contest.

Is it too early to start asking for another one?

Well there are plans for Pseudopod and Podcastle contests, though I don't think they've announced dates yet.  If that suits your fancy.  :)

Here's hoping PodCastle is first as I already have two stories in beta reading for that one,  ;)

Congrats to all the winners. Like Dem, I voted for first and second, and third was my fourth place choice, so I have no complaints. Can't wait to hear them!

Congrats to all the winners! (And I voted for all three).
Even more congratulations to everybody who made it to the finals, and especially to those who managed to retain their sanity!

I'd also like to congratulate the winners, although I didn't vote for any of them!

I did vote for Ms. Wilder's other story in the finals, and hers is the only story of the winners that I hadn't voted for in previous rounds. They were very good stories and I am glad all of them won, even if they weren't my top picks! Congrats to the winners and everyone who even entered a story. Putting your stuff out there for others to read is terrifying.
