Is anyone else getting intermittant-but-getting-more-frequent 504 errors (gateway timeout) when trying to get to the forums? It's been happening to me this week on multiple computers at multiple locations, so I thought I'd bring it up to see if it's possibly something unrelated to me/my ISP(s).

I've been having the same issue, I believe starting some time last week.

We're getting intermittent problems on all the sites. Not just you don't worry.

By the way that first sentence up there is the sum total of everything I know about this or how we could fix it. Trust me everyone, we're looking at it, and people who know waaaaaaaay the hell more than I do are all over it.

I'm hunky dory, then. :) It's one of those "If I'm the only one having problems, I wanna know, but if I'm not, then maybe THEY need to know, if they don't already know, but surely they know...you know?" type situations.

I'm very patient and understanding when it's not something I'm doing wrong.  ;D

The 504 and 502 errors appear to be a minor issue with our server configuration with the ISP.  There's some technical babble behind it that is well.. over my head even with a step ladder, but I've been assured that things are being worked on and on the mend.  We have a 2 step solution in process.  The first step is already implemented and running just fine.  And the second step should be finished within 24 hours.   The sites will probably go down again for about 5-10 minutes when we push the button to finish step 2, but after that we here at Escape Artists airlines expect a smooth ride with no more turbulence.

Thanks for the update. I, personally, haven't seen any more for a couple of days.

last two days were bad.  Had a different error today, something about not being able to access a database, and on refresh I reached the forums fine.

I couldn't access escapepod.org or the forum yesterday, but today everything was fine, and in fact seems to be running faster than before.

We've been migrated to a new server hence the speed increase.

Oh, the irony. It took me over an hour to get here to read the last message. :)

Supposedly, that was the final step of the migration? At least that's what we're being led to believe.

That is my understanding as well.  It should be smooth sailing from here.

Glad to hear it!  The forums do seem to be running quite smoothly.

I'd like to hear my options, so I could weigh them, what do you say?
Five pounds?  Six pounds? Seven pounds?
