Ann Leckie's book, Ancillary Justice, comes out today!

(Ann's post has links for buying it, for those in the US or the UK ... I guess we Canadians will have to find it ourselves*. ;) )

It is also the subject of today's Big Idea post on John Scalzi's Whatever blog ("Big Idea" is a feature he instituted about 5 years ago to let authors describe the, uh, big idea behind their books).

Congratulations, Ann!

*I'm teasing of course - no one could or should expect her to provide purchase links for every possible country.

Cool and congrats to Ann. Did this get mentioned on the podcast? if so I missed it. Sounds like a space opera of the highest caliber. Is there a chance there may be an excerpt run on escapepod?

Big woot and well deserved!

I let my SFWA membership lapse, so I didn't contribute to that particular nom, but I have nominated her book for a Hugo also.  :)

And thanks for featuring the brief mention of it on the podcast.  I don't read a lot of books, but I read it in large part because of the mention of it on the podcast where she explained the really neat POV.

Library2Go has it! And the sequel!  :)  :)  :)

Funny thing... Ancillary Justice has a lot of people on the holds list ahead of me - like twenty or so - but Ancillary Sword has only four. I had to suspend the hold on the second book, as I want to keep it on the list
