A few years ago I found, to my horror, that an Author I'd loved as a kid: Nicholas Fisk, was actually called Peter Higgenbottom.  You can see why he changed his as well, can't you?

I've always thought Minister Faust's name straddled the line of silly and cool incredibly well.
