A friend of mine has submitted a story to Artemis Rising, as she is new at this she didn't get the formatting of the cover bit of the message quite right and is stressing out about it.  Would this be something that would get the story rejected straight off and if so can she send it again with the correct formatting or otherwise fix it?

Was it the cover letter, or the story itself?

If she's concerned about it, please feel free to drop us a line at the submit address, or PM me here, and we'll make sure everything's fine :)

It was the cover letter.  She put in the info like a form rather than a fluidly worded request for consideration like the example submission letter and included some biographical information, though only a paragraph and related to her writing career

Thanks, I didn't think that it would be an issue but my friend was stressing about if the people going through the submissions would use that as a way to cull down the numbers.

As an aside roughly how may Artemis Rising submissions have there been?

Right now, we've received right around 125, with one more day to go.
