I listened to a story sometime in June or July 2014, which was a sort of sequel to "Hansel and Gretel," in which an elderly Hansel recounts Gretel returning to the gingerbread house and taking up where the old woman had left off, and enticing him to join her.

I can't for the life of me remember the title, or what podcast it was.  I don't know when it was published other than it had to have been before about July 2014.  It could have been an old Escape Pod, could have been Pseudopod, Lightspeed Magazine, Starship Sofa, or the Drabblecast.  Also possibly Clarkesworld or Podcastle, but I don't often listen to those.

Does anyone know what story I'm thinking of?

All cat stories start with this statement: “My mother, who was the first cat, told me this...”
