I'm looking for books and stories lately that fit into this sub-genre that are about other worlds and how they interact with ours, or each other, without being straight Portal Fantasy. I don't know how to go searching for such things, though, so I was hoping to get some input from other forumites here. What I've read, enjoyed and classified in this space so far includes:

Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire
The Magicians by Lev Grossman
Portal Worlds and Your Child (A Parent's Guide) by Matt Mikalatos (PodCastle 344)
The Driftwood stories by Marie Brennan (eg PodCastle 323)

It's a disappointingly short list so far, so I'm eager to add to it. Does anyone have any suggestions along these lines?

PS - This might not be everything I've ever encountered like this, just what I remember best.
PPS - I have also been reading The Long Earth series, which almost fits, but not quite.

Tomato is a fruit, watermelon is a berry, banana is a herb and everything you know is wrong.
