Mom had hands like dinosaur bones: fragile at a glance, but old and strong, hardened by time and pressure. Fossils endure. My mother had endured 80 years already, through disease and bereavement, through a long career ended in humiliation and disgrace, and now this final insult: her own daughter demanding she leave it all behind, the house and farm and everything in it.

This was super fun, as I expect from the author.  I also think that it's clever that they found a way to clean out the junk house!  They just converted the mass into dinosaurs instead.  :)

I wonder what will happen in the aftermath of this?  I mean, especially with big carnivores tromping around, are the repo men going to get eaten?  Is she going to become famous for this even though she technically violated laws to make these dinosaurs?
