Hi folks,
hate to stir it up with my first post but I am unable to access escapepod.org this morning.
I've checked with a friend in Australia and she cannot access it either.
Any idea what's going on?

Even on the internet.  Shit happens.  The host seems to get nervous when thursday starts to roll around. 

BTW Escape.org is a magazine discounter, but I see you had the right address for us in your post.

Thanks for letting me know, phazedout.  Dreamhost (our Web host) was having some trouble earlier; this may or may not be the same thing.  I've put in a support request with them, and we'll see how it goes.  I appreciate the heads up.

Hey, I use DreamHost, and I can confirm that there's an outage there.

Some of my domains aren't resolving, and the host says they're working on it.

That's why my avatar isn't appearing at the moment... it's on one of the down servers.

(Total side note: phazedout is too modest to say it, but he has his own SF commentary podcast at http://phazecast.com)

still down BTW, not resolving alas, guess psuedopod is on a different server.

I can see escapepod.org but can't download the podcast itself on media.escapepod.org (getting a 404 error at the moment, eg on http://media.escapepod.org/EP119_AliensWantOurWomen.mp3)

Yes, Dreamhost is telling me the problem's fixed but I'm not sure they completely mean it.  Meanwhile I've moved the DNS somewhere else.  Keep trying, everyone, and hopefully this will work itself out. 

I'm very sorry about this.  It hasn't made a fun day for me.

It seems to be back up again.  At least, I was able to grab the latest EP there now.
