Post by: Russell Nash on December 24, 2007, 01:37:32 PM
Happy Winter Solstice everyone.  I know I'm a couple of days late.  From here on out the days just get longer.  :)

To you as well Russell!

Shwankie and I lit all the candles we could find, had some big glasses of eggnog and listened to all the not-normal holiday music we could find.

For non-normal holiday music you need to try Trans-Siberian Orchestra (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000002JX6/escapepod-20).

Or check out Brave Combo's "It's Christmas Man!".

I also enjoy throwing "I Want an Alien for Christmas" (Fountains of Wayne: http://www.last.fm/music/Fountains+of+Wayne/+videos/+1-gHWmhR3rD74 (http://www.last.fm/music/Fountains+of+Wayne/+videos/+1-gHWmhR3rD74)), "Santa's Beard" (They Might Be Giants: http://www.song-a-day.com/2007/12/they-might-be-giants-santas-beard.html (http://www.song-a-day.com/2007/12/they-might-be-giants-santas-beard.html)), and "Fairytale of New York" (the Pogues: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltiY-BqvOIU (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltiY-BqvOIU)) into the Yule-iPod dock.

Happy Seasonings!
