Title: Web series Sanctuary picked up for a full season by the SciFi Channel

Colour me impressed.
I mentioned <a href="http://www.sanctuaryforall.com/" > Sanctuary [/url] a while ago in a discussion about online media. While I liked the series it was probably more because of their distribution model than because of their plot or characters ;-)
But SciFi obviously saw big things in Sanctuary's future because they commissioned  a full season  (http://www.gateworld.net/news/2008/01/sci_fi_picks_up_tappings_isanctu.shtml).

I think it is telling for the future of tv/webvideo when the first professionelly produced and semi-succesfull SciFi series gets snatched up less then a year after it started. (and after having only produced 8 episodes a 15 minutes). Big Things^TM are ahead, my friends.
