So, the company I'm consulting with has (among other things) a comic book online retail business. They appear at a lot of conventions in the dealer's room. They just lost their guy who usually takes charge of that, and they're looking for someone who can be their main convention rep.
It's part-time work, but it'd be fun part-time work for the right person. The main attributes they're looking for are responsibility, problem-solving ability, and enough schedule flexibility that taking a few days several times a year to drive a truck up to wherever is no big deal. Being in the Southeast would be helpful but not strictly necessary; it sounds like he's willing to fly somebody in.
If this sounds intriguing, let me know and I'll put you in touch. I'm not part of the comics operation, I'm just passing the word on, but I'll vouch that these are good people to work with.

Y'know what?
I ran a comic store for seven years, I co-edited one of the most successful guerilla comic news sites and I was, very very briefly and on a massively small scale, part of the UK smallpress scene. I'd love this.
