Title: Ugh. Help me remember this bookname.
Post by: Talia on December 18, 2008, 08:45:59 PM
Its a fairly recent fantasy novel with a name I swear was something like "the insect hut" or "insect house" or "plague house" or something like that. Its about a redhaired girl who's stricken by the plague and isolated in a little hut to die. But instead of dying she starts to get better, and some guy finds her as she's recooperating and tends to her, and then they embark on a journey somewhere. I swear I remember the cover having flies on it or somesuch.

I've googled evry imaginable set of search terms to no avail.

i know this isn't what you want (i know the feeling well, best of luck) but this reminds me of a book called eifelheim (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eifelheim_(novel)) that was very impressive. it was unique enough that i want to share it.

the plague was less forgiving in this story but it creates an incredible sense of the time.

<edit for book search> aaahhh! my eyes!

Apparently I dont remember enough exact details to be able to narrow it down that far. This is going to drive me NUTS.

Neat tool though, bookmarked

well I'm going to a tor.com meetup tonight. Perhaps one of my fellow booknerds there will be able to remember.
