I have no inside knowledge, but I'm expecting Mur's Christmas episode on the 24th or 25th.

I'm getting worried, more worried, about Steve.

I'm confused...Did Steve post this somewhere and I just missed it?  Or is it because there wasn't an EP posted last week?

Yep.  In the post for Metacast #4 (http://forum.escapeartists.net/index.php?topic=2142.msg38558#msg38558)

Yeah...heard that, but didn't hear anything about there not being a Christmas episode.

Sorry, I thought you meant the lack of regular EP posts lately.  And like Russell Nash, I'm expecting a Mur piece.  But at this point, I'd rather know that Steve was doing better.  Those who have just discovered EP have a huge back catalog to pass the time, and I would hope that regulars would be understanding.  In my case, it's given me a chance to work my way through Podcastle.

I don't hate steve or anything. Heck, he could stop now and he would have given us a whole lot more than I have. Just saying.

Yes, that is where I am. Just worried about him. He wants a longer vacation, fine. He never posts again, fine. He has given us so much already. He's not well, not fine.

It is so hard to get anything done with ADHD then a lot of the medications for ADHD cause depressive rebound so people end up even worse off. They take the medication, it works for a while, then stops working and they end up with worse ADHD and depression to boot. I don't know what the solution is... maybe totally organic diet, exercise, no fluoridated tap water, etc. And if you have the energy and focus for that you probably don't have ADHD in the first place.

Merry Christmas Steve. Hope you are better.

there's probably work going on, he said that one of the things he would do is get ahead of the curve.

which means there are ep episodes out there that i haven't heard yet and can't get to. which is oddly both comforting and frustrating at the same time.

I can only echo the thought's others have expresed. I've been so pleased with Escape Pod that I became a monthly supporter. I wish I had the time to do more. I wish Steve, his family and all that have made Escape pod so special a Merry holiday season and a well deserved break. If Escape Pod ends I will miss it but family and Health are far more important. Agreed. Steve has given us so much over the years and owes us nothing. If anything, we are still vastly in his debt.

I'll be listening again to "Santa In My Pocket", "Merry Christmas from the Heartbreakers" (#2 Bestest Christmas Story EVER*) and maybe "Night Off".  I really was unimpressed with "Citytalkers" and doubt I'll go back to it ... sorry Mur.

*#1 being the fabulous movie Tokyo Godfathers.

Ok folks, everybody loves Steve, but that doesn't mean someone's an ingrate if they're sad/annoyed/worried/disappointed/morose/sanguine/etc. that EP isn't back in time for [insert midwinter/midsummer holidays/festivals/Festivus applicable to location and religious beliefs].

That said, ditto on the comments as to the worth of what we've got, and ditto on the comments about missing EP.

Also, having spoken to Steve, "There is in fact going to be a Christmas episode."

Thanks for saying all that, Heradel.

Yeah, I'll probably listen to some of Mur's stories and definitely Greg Van Eekhout's In the Late December.

I believe Steve said that in the Metacast, too.  I believe in Steve Clause!
