For anyone who lives even vaguely near Long Island: I-Con 28, 4/3-4/5 ( I think) has a sweet lineup of guests this year, including Sean Astin, Tory Belleci from Mythbusters, Holly Black, Jane Yolen and my personal favorite, Jack McDevitt (yaaay. He was actually a guest a few years back too, funny and engaging speaker).

Looks like one of my favorite web cartoonists, Bernie Hou, is also going to be there.

This is a fantastic event, if you can possibly swing it, you should come.

Tempting,  I will actually be in the States around this time and I've never been to a con before.  ::ducks::  I think I'll be too saddled with kids to get away for that long though.

there are children's activities too! It's $59 for a one-day pass for Saturday (and well 62 for a three-day pass) and 21 for children's passes.
