I wanted to give others the chance to respond to Anarquistador's question ...
If you were putting together the ultimate rock band, and had your choice of any musicians, living or dead, who would you pick?
I constructed my Ultimate Japanese Prog-Rock Bnad with:
Kunio Suma (of Bi Kyo Ran) on guitar
Yoshihisa Shimizu (of Kenso) on guitar and keyboards
Keiko Kumagai (of Ars Nova) on keyboards
Tatsuya Myano (of Happy Family) on bass
Masayuki Muraishi (of Kenso) on drums
and vocals by Masami Okui (my #1 favorite singer in any language).
Material to be composed by Suma, Shimizu, and Kumagai.
* * *
Now, as for an all-roundeye bnad, I pick:
David Gilmour and Al Di Meola on guitars (Al for chops and Dave for sheer taste)
Emily Hay on flute and vocals
Keyboards ... maybe Chick Corea or George Duke, I dunno
Tony Levin on bass and/or Stick
I guess Stewart Copeland would be a good drummer; I watched the Police reunion special and only just realized how awesome he is.
* * *
Next?
[edited to add keyboards to Yoshihisa Shimizu, Kenso's multi-instrumentalist)

I like the idea of revolving door Superbands like Pigface (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pigface)
That lineup includes almost anybody I would ever include in a band line up.
Probot (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Probot) is kind of fun too; especially like Shake your blood
I also would like to see what someone as creative as Mozart would do with the technology of today.
