Title: Allan Quartermain. In Space.
Post by: DKT on May 14, 2010, 06:50:26 PM
This could be very, very cool. (http://www.heatvisionblog.com/2010/05/sam-worthington-attached-to-play-a-scifi-allan-quatermain-exclusive.html#more)

I've been rereading League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and really enjoying it...also kind of mourning that there will never be a great cinematic version of it. But this kind of jazzes me.

I still have all my dad's books by Haggard, that I still haven't read.

I read King Solomon's Mines about...8 years ago, I guess? and liked it well enough for what it was. I'm insanely curious about She, which the Classic Tales podcast is selling, but I haven't made the plunge yet.

One of my dad's books is an omnibus containing She, King Solomon's Mines, and Allan Quatermain.  Others include the sequels to She (including She and Allan).

I saw the movie She a long time ago on television; I've forgotten just about all of it except the final five minutes.
