Folks, I'm interested in which software you use to record narrations? So far I've only used Audacity because it's free and adequate, and when I started I didn't know whether I wanted to keep doing recordings. I do, so maybe it's time to invest in a "professional" package. But there's stacks out there so I'm curious to know which ones folks like and recommend.

I'm just using Audacity at present, but I'm looking into other software like WavePad, etc.

Soundbooth, mainly because I already had a license for it, and I liked it a bit better than GarageBand at first blush.

I use Cool Edit Pro, which is the precursor to Adobe Audition. It takes a little getting used to because you right-click-and-drag to move clips, whereas most others use left-click-and-drag. If you can afford Audition, I recommend it.
Soundbooth is okay -- I have CS5 for work, and that's got multitrack, but it's not as good as Audition.
For a free option, Audacity is pretty great.
