Holy-bovine this comment is late but peeking through that chart I have to say that calling the Childhood's End aliens peaceful is to look at their actions but not quite their intent. Since there end goal was the evolution of a species and the destruction of the old, and they succeed while the original race is entirely helpless, fascinating use of the world peaceful :D
