Hi all.
A few years ago I read some of a book and can't remember what it was. Hoping that the wisdom of the masses might help me.
It was a collection of short stories by a SF author I usually associate with novels and I can only remember two of the stories in it.
One was about a soft drink whose flavour could be altered by the way the top of the can was twisted prior to opening.
The other was about a ritual, the kind with chanting in Latin and body movements, which when completed, quietly and peacefully killed you.
I was reading it at a party to avoid interacting with strangers. Now I need the help of strangers to finish the book. Typical.
Thanks for the attention,
Spike

Hi Spike
That's "Pixel Juice" by Jeff Noon.
Cheers

Thanks so much. That's been annoying me for years now.
Noon, really?
I wasn't expecting that. I think I've only read Vurt (and probably not all of it). I didn't really like it.
I was enjoying the short stories though.
