Title: Hi I'm your host, Alasdair and I just got engaged

Earlier today I proposed to Marguerite Kenner, my girlfriend (And editor of Cast of Wonders). She said yes:) No plans past this in the short term (She's finishing a law degree) but this has made my day and I wanted to share:)

I mean, that and the fact that my wife has a strict policy against Heinleinian multi-level marriages with overseas couples we've never even met in person… Still, I fell like I'm missing out on something.

Oh, and I'm very happy for you and your lovely lady! If there is to be a post wedding US tour, please give me warning so I can make sure I'm early in line for tickets at the nearest stop.

Got married last spring myself, so if you need any advice...

(as I travel quite a lot, I collected a lot of wedding magazines before the marriage. the British ones had the best designs, according to my wife)
