I'm sure it's great and noble to be a "Hipparch" and all, but I'd like something unique that captures the true core of stePH.
So I've settled on "Muffin Top"; would the next admin change it please? TIA.

Hipparch is baked in, we can't change that without changing it for everyone. Which is why I use the field to play off Autarch.
However, I can only change it once, so now you're stuck like that. The Muffin Top Hipparch foreva.

Done, I thought a little celebration was in order. It's also fun to see how long it takes people to notice you changed something. It took Heradel over a month to notice his signature had been messed with.

Done, I thought a little celebration was in order. It's also fun to see how long it takes people to notice you changed something. It took Heradel over a month to notice his signature had been messed with.

Not to be a curmudgeon about this whole PLZ A NEW TITLE, YA RLY thing but......
shouldn't it be (a bit like how anyone who wants to be elected to power is just the sort of person who should never be given any) that, if one is impatient enough to demand some sort of fancy shmancy new title it should then be forever more denied?
[like in that He-Man episode where he finds this Orb Of Wonderous Power, which he completely fails to use in any useful way incidentally, until that weird eagle lady turns up and takes it away and the "moral" of the story is that the best thing he can do is just sit on his ass and not use this or any other Orbs Of Wonderous Power, as it was all just a big test of how 'noble' he could be. Like WHAT THE FRAK SORT OF MORAL IS THAT TO TELL KIDS - JUST DO NOTHING WHEN MAGICAL TRINKETS DROP IN YOUR LAP?!? No wonder we have voter apathy.]
Ahem, so....yeah: Asking for new names would be like being an impulsive He-Man misusing magical orbs, thus making a strange eagle-lady/EscapePod-moderator angry. So you'll not find *me* asking for any sort of title-upgrade. I learned my lesson from that cartoon all those years ago.

I know. I mean, what's the point of having the thing if the 'real' goal is not to use it.
(Unless you're a eagle headress woman, then, apparently, you are deemed responsible enough to keep them grumble grumble....)
So, we "don't" get a fancy title by just waiting. Riiiiight. And we "have to ask for one" instead.
And if we just "pretend we aren't wanting one" it won't appear?
Pah. I've seen He-Man, did I mention, I'm not falling for such an obvious trick like asking for my new title....uhh....I mean whatever this 'title' might be that I'm not expecting or waiting for or wanting at all, honest!

Whereas I could have a custom title I really only participate in two threads, so don't feel I am deserving of a title for being a rabid follower of the picture association and interviews. I have lost interest to a large extent in EP lately and other than the first few episodes of PC it didn't really grab me, I still download them, but am so far behind i just mark the episode comment threads as read normally with a few exceptions. I still like to listen to most PP episodes but from about August of last year until March of this year my internet access was so spotty that I even somewhat lost interest in PP. Still it's all good, even if I don't care much for the stories of late, It's good to have such podcasts around as an outlet and encouragement for authors to still write in these genres.

I actually love it (my non-title-title). A very fitting expression of my essential nature, which is all a good title should ever be.

Well it looks like the Mods (or possibly one of them) really is so insecure in themselves that they couldn't cope with the merest hint of a scintilla of an idea of being insulted.
It's a shame really and I think we should pity "him".
'Course, one such as myself wouldn't get upset if such a thin-skinned person was to, ooohhhhhh I dunno, interfere with a previously miraculous gift-of-a-title and change it into something else.

I noticed today that my custom title is no longer "Muffin Top".
