Title: PodCastle producer Peter Wood
Post by: Ben Phillips on December 08, 2009, 11:10:41 PM
I've been training him for a bit and I haven't scared him off yet, so I'm pleased to announce PodCastle's new sound producer, Peter Wood (http://livingtheliminal.com/sounds), a long-time listener of EA podcasts and theatrical sound designer attending NYU.  Welcome, Peter!

Bow down to him, if you will!

Howdy folks - and thanks. Though no bowing is necessary, I prefer cold, hard coin or precious jewels.

A bit about me:

I'm actually not attending NYU and never have. Although I do have a Masters in Theatre History from the University of MD and am applying to Theatre PhD programs for at a number of places for next year. I'm currently in Providence, RI and in between temp gigs.

I'm excited to help bring great stories to you and am proud to be part of the Escape Artists team. While I haven't been active in the forum for quite a while, I hope to be a bit more regular with my presence . . . at least after my applications are applicated and I'm not spending my days trying to convince faculty just how much they really, really want to accept me to their program or revising and revising and revising my writing samples.

Until then, and at the very least, I'll be dropping in to make sure all is copacetic with the production values.

Well, it's official.  You're on the Org Chart (http://forum.escapeartists.net/index.php?topic=2452.0) now.  Great to have you here (still)!

I like how one of the first small bits of information about you was immediately refuted.

"Oh look, he goes to NYU."
"No I don't"
"Oh, no he doesn't... Kay."

Welcome aboard Sir! (still)!
<--cheers

Dehiss.

Please.

Other than that, welcome! I look forward to hearing more of the great EA production. It ain't all perfect, but I'm not doing it, so I can't complain!

All you guys do good work, so I know the FNG will too!

Welcome! At the risk of being accused of plagiarism, Have Fun(tm)! (Although that should probably be Enjoy The Story(tm))

Sorry about that.  Where did I get that from?  The figments, they enter my mind, and reality gets displaced.

The figment might have been mine, I'm attending school in Manhattan, though not NYU (which leaves something like a dozen other places I could be attending). But my majors are Computer Science and English, and I don't do that much with sound (though my girlfriend's a theatre major).

Avinu Malkeinu
i mean Avada Kedavra

Mod: No dark arts in these parts.

Better Mod: I guess I have to keep that to the Pseudopod boards, huh?

Seraphic Mod: That would be the place for them.
