In case, you didn't get tipped off by the title, I've got an idea!
OK, so I was thinking, "I should write an American history text book..." then I realized that history is boring! It's all just re-runs! So I appended "alternate" before "American history" and realized text books are huge. I think if we all write a chapter, we can write a concise alternate history of the USA, from the first Native Americans to modern day (if it were published pre-G.W. Bush, so like 1998 like all the textbooks I use. Except for the English one. That one's mid-80's.). So, howzaboutit? I'll try to get some friends from castleparadox.com in on it, too! Of course, we'll have to come up with a very general history, first. Something with a thermonuclear world war around 1952... ;D
