Steve, you are forgiven for the slight wait on the weekly podcast, even though my addiction was threatening to experience withdrawal.
Our family went through almost an identical experience (a month!) and I know that feeling of helplessness but your hunter/gatherer self wants to go out and kill a mammoth to make it better.
Just know that it turned out OK for us, and I know the same can be true for you.
